Learn to balance your flash with the available light, working with multiple speedlights with a variety of light modifiers. Carving and separating your light. Creative use of high speed sync, using gels, front and second curtain sync, controlling the sun and much more.
AIMS:
To teach intermediate to advanced location lighting using a range of portable lighting equipment.
COURSE LENGTH:
The full course is optimised for 1 day on location
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
DSLR and standard portrait lens around 130mm (based upon full size sensor) as well as a long focus lens around 200mm
A dedicated camera flash
Sufficient storage media for 2 days shooting
EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
These course elements are aimed at intermediate to Licentiate level. A sound working knowledge of your camera is essential so we can concentrate on the use of flash and speedlights.
