With Terry Hewlett ARPS and Andy Cubin MBE ASIFGP
One of the questions I am often asked is how to use speedlights creatively both on and off the camera, and taking control without it biting you in the backside.
We all know that having the dedicated flash on the camera is the very worst place it could be, producing flat and uninteresting lighting with harsh shadows behind. Very often a large number of wedding photographers work with their flashes apparently super-glued to the camera with no understanding of how to control and balance the flash with the available light.
Taking the flash off the camera is the simplest way to take your lighting to another level – when you know how. This workshop will take you through the process of understanding how to control the flash when it is on the camera and then how to move on to another level working with off camera flash.
You will be working with speedlights supplied by me for the off camera work so all you need to bring is your camera, dedicated flash, storage cards and plenty of batteries.
